Why Attend a Support Group?
Attending a support group can be difficult at first. It takes time to feel comfortable sharing your problems with people you do not know. However, the experience of many family members is that once they open up, they found that their problems were not so different from other group members. A support group can help you feel more in control of your life and lets you know that you are not alone in dealing with the disease.
